The 34th National Haitian Convention was an amazing success!

Boukan News, 05/28/2025 – The 34th Annual Haitian Christian Convention took place from May 23rd to 25th in the Poconos Mountains of Pennsylvania. This convention gathered worshippers from various locations, including the United States, Canada, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic. Approximately 3,500 attendees convened at the Kalahari Resort, a hotel distinguished for its luxury and elegance, to participate in worship activities.
This convention, the fourth I have attended, was outstanding in terms of its focus on spirituality, praise, and testimony. The conference theme, “Be Strong in
the Harvest,” was presented by speakers who were experienced, knowledgeable, and wise. The messages delivered were clear, precise, and well received by all attendees.
The principle that one only reaps what they sow underscores the necessity of sustained hard work before achieving significant results. Diligence and perseverance are crucial to attaining desired outcomes. It is important to maintain patience and wisdom throughout this process.
This exceptional event was made possible through the visionary leadership of Dr. Serge Jérôme and the diligent efforts of the organizing committee. By leading a team predominantly composed of highly motivated young professionals, they played a pivotal role in the success of this convention. We extend our sincere congratulations to them for their outstanding contributions.
A conference themed “Women Arise” was successfully conducted, focusing on issues pertinent to women. The event facilitated

discussions among participants of all ages, ranging from adults to young Christians, in a supportive and welcoming environment.
The men’s conference concluded successfully, focusing on key themes such as family, health, and finance. The panelists and attendees contributed their expertise and insights, making the event both productive and successful.
On Sunday morning, the medical team organized a conference. Despite minimal publicity, the venue was filled and featured engaging discussions. The panelists, who were experts in the health field, offered pertinent advice and elucidated complex topics pertaining to various illnesses. All attendees reported high levels of satisfaction with the conference.

The dance team executed an impressive choreography characterized by precise and synchronized movements. The audience responded

positively, expressing their approval through extended applause at the conclusion of the performance.
The children contributed notably to the success of this distinguished convention by performing songs and choreographed movements specifically prepared for the occasion.
Under the leadership of Esther Pierre-Louis, the medical team provided care to over 60 individuals experiencing hypertension, diabetes, seasonal allergies, headaches, general aches and pain and minor first aid in children. Their presence throughout the convention was marked by exceptional professionalism while they actively participated in the event.

Pastor Francisque Meristal, aged 43, concluded the convention with a closing sermon that was both eloquent and inspiring. He successfully
captured the attention of the participants by 45 minutes, as well as that of the spectators who followed the event through social media. His evangelistic message, distinguished by a significant spiritual presence, was highly appreciated and acknowledged for its profound spiritual content.
Following the convention, several participants were interviewed to provide their insights on the event, which spanned three days of intensive prayer and worship. Ephraïm Gédéon, a young attendee, noted that the introduction of ecumenical services specifically tailored for young people is a significant innovation, fostering their commitment to ministry. This new form of engagement and inclusion has been particularly well received by the younger generation of Haitian American Christians.
Stéphanie Sylvain, a member of the organization, confirmed that all sermons aligned with the convention’s overarching theme. She also noted the
introduction of specific services designed for young people, which were separate from those for adults. This initiative allowed the youth to have personalized experiences tailored to their generation.
Boukan News extends its sincere gratitude to all individuals who contributed to the implementation of the convention program. Your dedication and professionalism were commendable. We would like to express our thanks to the following teams:
- The audiovisual team: Your expertise was exceptional.
- The musicians: You supported the singers, choirs, and speakers with great skill.
- The security and order service: Your efforts were admirable, and your welcoming messages provided joy and tranquility to the participants entering the arena of the convention.
Thank you to each of you for your commitment and exemplary performance.
The 35th Haitian National Convention will be held from May 22 to 24, 2025, in Orlando, Florida!
