The Haitian National Convention will take place from May 23rd to May 25th in Poconos, Pennsylvania.

Boukan News, 05/20/2025 – In 2025, the annual assembly of Haitian Christians will take place in the Poconos Mountains, Pennsylvania. From May 23rd to 25th, several hundred participants will gather to commemorate the harvest season. This event will be an occasion to recognize the fruits of diligent efforts and dedicated prayer, while expressing gratitude for the blessings conferred by God.
Under the guidance of Bishop Dr. Serge Jérôme and other prominent members of the Haitian National Convention, Christians, primarily from the United States, will convene for three days of worship. This annual event is renowned for its instances of deliverance, miracles, and blessings. It also serves as a spiritual occasion to honor God, express gratitude for His blessings, reaffirm our thanks, and renew our faith.
This year, as in previous years, will be distinguished by numerous sermons, prayers, and praises led by experienced preachers. Renowned Christian artists and prayer enthusiasts will contribute to ensuring that these three days are memorable. Bishops Serge Jérôme, Gary Lewis, Francis Meristal, Joel Vibert, Marlon Green, and Dr. François Jeanty, among other esteemed individuals, will ensure an exceptional spiritual experience.
In addition to its primary spiritual significance, there is also a considerable social aspect. Christians congregate to engage in prayer, offer praise, and express gratitude to God, while simultaneously fostering connections of fellowship and camaraderie. These gatherings provide opportunities for individuals to become acquainted, share meals, partake in dancing, and enjoy moments of laughter together, all within an atmosphere of unity and affection.
It is important to remind the goals of the National Convention:
• To promote spiritual growth among the laity and clergy within the Haitian community.
• To provide encouragement, support, and resources that will build the self-esteem and self-worth of all who attend NHC.
• To promote fellowship through worship, banquet, and other social activities.
• To promote and provide godly character as a way of life for laity who are entering into the ministry.
• To provide a platform for training and resources to laity and leadership at NHC Convention.
• To provide resources and information that will better inform communities within the Haitian Community of the benefits and opportunities within the Church of God.
• To promote a spirit of friendship and fellowship towards Non-Church of God churches who are considering membership with the movement.
• To promote activities to keep our Haitian culture and identity.
• To promote system adaptation to the Government of the Church of God.
• To do social community work.
